The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will host its annual auction fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Abingdon Ruritan Club building in Bena, starting at 6 p.m.
“Mission: Possible, The Auction Affair” is the name for the gala, as auction attendees will engage in clandestine activities in order to help homeless animals of the Middle Peninsula, a release stated.
The evening will include dinner and drinks, “covert” bidding during the silent auction, dancing and a fast-paced live auction. Attendees will be able to bid on art, furniture, home and garden décor, jewelry and more. A short video produced and directed by Sara Harris Photography, highlighting the work of the GHMS, will be shown.
