The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will hold a “Baby Bottle Basics” training session to equip individuals with the skills needed to care for bottle-fed kittens, on Saturday, May 18, beginning at 10 a.m.
Led by GMHS Foster Coordinator Chevy Carper, the session will cover the fundamentals of nurturing kittens and crucial topics such as feeding frequency, bathroom assistance, temperature regulation, weight monitoring, and early signs of illness.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on various aspects of kitten care and be shown the process of encouraging kittens to latch on to bottles, demonstrating the correct angle and technique for holding the bottle and ensuring the kittens’ comfort and safety during feeding time.
Those interested in attending can call 804-693-5520 or email chevy@gmhumanesociety.org to reserve their slot. To sign up to foster or learn more about the GMHS foster program, visit gmhumanesociety.org/foster-care.
