The foursome of Aaron Cothern, Fritz Frederickson, Daniel Carver, and Michael Nunes, from left, were the winners of the Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic’s 13th annual Golf Classic, which was held on Aug. 18 at the Piankatank River Golf Course in Hartfield. A crowd of 116 golfers participated in the event, with more than $36,000 raised for patient care at the nonprofit clinic. GMCC provides primary health care, dental care, pharmacy and support services to uninsured and Medicaid patients in Gloucester and Mathews, and relies on community support to sustain its programs.
