Gloucester’s St. Therese opens its doors for Soup with Love

Each year, St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in Gloucester opens its doors every Friday during the six weeks of lent to welcome the community to its Soup with Love luncheon programs.
Church members prepare and serve about 20 or more meatless soups and breads. Guests are welcome to enjoy as many of the different soups as they would like. Coffee and tea are also provided. Each week a minister from a different local church provides a short devotional talk.
The first week will be this Friday, Feb. 28 and will continue each Friday with the sixth and final one being on Friday, April 3.  The doors open at 11:30 a.m. and soup is served until 1 p.m. All are welcome. Service is fast so it is a great way to grab a quick lunch, a release stated.
After the last week, money donated by guests will be further donated to a charity chosen by the volunteers. The church is located at 6262 Main Street.
