The finishing touches to Gloucester County’s newest mural, paying tribute to some of the women who made this county what it is today, were made last week.
Artist Bridget Cimino of Baltimore completed the mural on Main Street on Friday, sharing a building with the popular T.C. Walker mural, which is on the opposite side.
The mural features eight women and recognizes 250 years of women’s contributions to society and the arts in Gloucester. The installation of the mural is also a part of the Cook Foundation’s upcoming 25th anniversary celebration.
“Thank you to the people of Gloucester for having me and I was really excited to learn about all of the women in the mural. Thank you to the Cook Foundation for funding the project,” said Cimino.
The names and descriptions were given in a press release by the Cook Foundation and read as follows:
