Gloucester High School wrestlers added two more Peninsula District wins to their record on Dec. 19, putting them at 5-0 in the district. The Dukes beat Heritage, 57-21, and Warwick, 49-24, in a tri-match on the Raiders’ mats.
Winning by pin over their Heritage opponents were Matt Monahan at 120 lbs. in 1:13, Jordan Schaal at 132 lbs. in 1:25, A.J. Ransom at 138 lbs. in 1:46, Russel Simpson at 152 in 5:52, Devon Pullen at 170 in 2:29 and Ethan Newell at 182 in 1:36. Taylor Caufield at 126 won by decision and forfeits went to Matt Favazzo at 113, Robert Leso at 160 and Nathaniel VanNess at 220.
Will Neikirk at 106, Adam Kanaday at 145 and Steve Zavatski at 195 were pinned by their Heritage opponents and heavyweight Thomas Clifton lost by decision.
