Gloucester Woman’s Club speaker series begins July 3 at Edgehill House

The Gloucester Woman’s Club will host a series of talks of historic and community interest from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesdays next month (July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31) at historic Edgehill House, 6805 Main Street, Gloucester Court House.
Topics and speakers are as follows:
July 3: “Historic Families in Gloucester and Mathews” with Lori Jackson Black;
July 10: “Country Stores in Gloucester and the New Museum Display” with Sidney Ripley;
July 17: “Nathaniel Bacon, the Search for Gloucester Hall and the Page Family” with Nathaniel Glasgow;
July 24: “Telling Our Stories—Amazing Women in Gloucester’s History” with Katrina White Brown, and
July 31: “Everyday People and Their Interesting Stories” with Peter Wrike.
Each 35-40 minute presentation will be followed by a brief question-and-answer period along with light refreshments.
