A new logo for Gloucester County officially debuted Tuesday night during the county supervisors’ meeting in the colonial courthouse.
The new logo, which features a “G” and waves, was designed through a partnership of multiple county departments and will bring all of Gloucester’s departments under one cohesive brand.
Community Engagement and Public Information Manager Quinton Sheppard said the process to create the logo began three years ago when county administration made the decision to unify the county’s image. Sheppard said for years different departments have used different versions of the county seal to represent themselves, which causes a disconnect in the county’s image.
Sheppard said the new logo is not replacing the official county seal in any way. The official seal will continue to be used in official Gloucester County government use. The new logo will mainly be used for marketing and public recognition.
