The Gloucester High School girls added another pair of wins to their perfect Peninsula District record this week. The Dukes swept Hampton, 9-0, on Monday and beat Bethel, 7-2, on Tuesday, with both victories on the GHS courts.
Against the Crabbers, number-one seed Christine Riddett won in straight 6-3 sets and number two seed Olivia Edwards did not drop a game. Sarah Contreras filled in for Nicolle Conry at number three and won 7-5, 6-3. At four, Hope Warren won in straight 6-1 sets, fifth seed Katie Masiak won in straight 6-3 sets and Jordan Simpson at six won 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles, Riddett and Edwards won, 8-2, Masiak and Simpson won 8-5 and Warren and Rebecca Bish won, 8-1.
Against the Bruins, Riddett and Edwards both won in straight 6-0 sets, an ailing Conry won, 6-3, 7-5 and Warren won, 6-4, 6-0. Masiak won, 7-6, 6-1 but Simpson lost her match, 6-1, 6-2.
