Gloucester Ruritan Club president Bill Naquin presented Katina Kenner, Assistant Director, Gloucester County Department of Social Services, a club mug for her presentation to the Gloucester Ruritan Club during its October dinner meeting at Anna’s Italian Pizza Restaurant. Kenner works under the McKinney-Vento Act to help homeless students in the county, which currently includes 30 students. Each school in the county faces different challenges to meet the needs of their students, e.g., a warm winter coat, a pair of shoes, a physical to enter kindergarten, or even a simple haircut. Schools do provide breakfast and lunch. Clubs or individuals may contact school principals or Social Services offices to offer assistance.
