The Gloucester Rotary Club has present or committed approximately $14,000 in philanthropic endeavors in the club year ending June 30, benefitting local and Rotary International-related programs. The club seeks input for a local community service project for which up to $1,000 will be allocated.
Recommendations for the community service project must be submitted by Feb. 29 to Henry Moncure at HWM1974@outlook.com or by mail to Gloucester Rotary Club, P.O. Box 811, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
“Serving the Gloucester community by helping other nonprofit organizations is a huge part of the Gloucester Rotary Club’s mission,” club president Lisa Jackson said. “Enhancing the ability for these organizations to reach their goals and help in the utilization of their services is a rewarding piece to the club members that donate their time and to the people they serve.”
