Giving Tuesday, a movement to create an international day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season, will be held next week, and the Samaritan Group in Gloucester is looking for the community’s support
Two local restaurants—Bangkok Noi in Gloucester Court House and the Wild Horse Country Café and Malt Shoppe in the White Marsh Shopping Center—invite patrons to “give as you dine” that day, as a percentage of their income will benefit the Samaritan Group.
The promotion will be going on all day at Bangkok Noi and after 4 p.m. at Wild Horse.
Other ways to help the Samaritan Group include donating directly on the organization’s website (thesamaritangroup.org), donating with PayPal on its Facebook page, or mailing a check to The Samaritan Group, P.O. Box 784, White Marsh, Va. 23183.
