Sixty-three new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Gloucester during the past week, the biggest jump in numbers in the county since February, during the winter surge.
This brings the total number of cases to 7,483 since the pandemic began. Three Gloucester residents were hospitalized with the virus during the past week, for a total of 108, while one death was removed from Gloucester’s total, bringing the number down to 103 over the past 2½ years.
Mathews recorded 10 new cases of the virus during the week, for a total of 1,532. There was one additional hospitalization, bringing that total to 33, and no additional deaths, leaving the total at 27.
Middlesex had 16 new cases, for a total of 1,881, with no new hospitalizations or deaths, leaving those totals at 47 and 48, respectively.
