Gloucester PRT to hold Full Hike on March 25

Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism will hold the Full Hike, giving visitors a chance to walk the nearly 10 miles from one end of Beaverdam Park to the other, on Saturday, March 25.
Participants will meet at the main entrance (8687 Roaring Springs Road) at 10 a.m., where they will be shuttled to the Farys Mill Road entrance. From there, the participants in the Full Hike will hike the 9.5 miles of trails back to the main entrance. Participants are advised to wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. The fee is $5 and the deadline to register is March 18.
DOG TRAINING: Gloucester PRT will hold a pair of dog training classes on Sunday, March 19 at Page Middle School. Agility 101 will be held from 2-3 p.m. Participants will learn dog training agility basics that can be practiced at home. The fee is $46. From 3:30 to 4:20 p.m., there will be a Pack Walk class. Learn to walk with a group. The fee is $46. The registration deadline for both programs is March 12.
