N Out Bait & Tackle and Twisters Ice Cream and Coffee has officially changed its business name to York River Bait & Tackle. The family-owned business, located at Gloucester Point about a half a mile from the Coleman Bridge, has been in business for about 30 years.
The shop provides a wide range of live, frozen and artificial baits. It also sells rods, reels, tackle, and a variety of other fishing supplies. The location will no longer include Twister Ice Cream and Coffee, providing more space for fishing gear.
“I wanted to provide more selections (of tackle and fishing supplies) to this location,” said owner Mi Bush of Yorktown.
The store first opened a convenience store called N Out Food Mart in 1993. In 2008, Twister Ice Cream and Coffee was added. The location became N Out Bait & Tackle in 2016.
“Customers would tell me that Gloucester needed a store like this,” said Bush. She also said that people who are fishing love it, including those who are here on vacation.
