Gloucester County recently made more improvements to one of its most important historic assets, the colonial court circle.
Recently, landscape lighting was added to help highlight the historic buildings on the circle and make access between the buildings safer after dark. In addition, an irrigation system was installed to help sustain the health and beauty of the lawn inside the court circle.
According to Wes McIntyre, Gloucester’s Facilities Management Director, the need for better lighting in the court circle has been an ongoing conversation for some time. During these discussions, it was determined that the existing lighting on building exteriors was insufficient for the distances needed for pedestrians to walk on the sidewalks.
