Gloucester Main Street grant program deadline extended

The deadline for the Gloucester Main Street Façade and Interior Grant Program has been extended one week, to Friday, Feb. 14, Blair Pausic announced last week.
The program, one of Gloucester Main Street’s signature initiatives, provides matching grants of up to $20,000 for exterior and $15,000 for interior improvements to Main Street business and building owners. Designed to preserve the district’s historic charm and enhance economic vitality, the program supports a variety of projects, including HVAC systems, signage, painting, window and door repairs, lighting, and flooring.
Since its inception, the program has played a vital role in transforming properties along Main Street, according to a release. Through the collaborative efforts of local business and property owners, and Gloucester Main Street, more than $1 million has been invested into the Main Street district, “enhancing its appeal and ensuring its legacy for future generations.”
