Gloucester County Public Library received 54 entries in its second annual Yum Yum Cookie Baking Contest. Contest judges were Paige Williams, owner of Kelsick Specialty Market, Gloucester County Community Engagement & Public Information Director Quinton Sheppard, and Historic Resources Supervisor Robert Kelly.
“They tasted cookies for three hours,” said Library Chef Chris Thomas.
Bakers could enter in one or both of this year’s categories, which were Gingerbread and Baker’s Choice. The contest was judged in three age groups, third through fifth grades, sixth through 12th grades, and adults 18 and older.
An awards ceremony for first-, second- and third-place winners in each category was held Saturday during the library’s Holiday Open House at its Main Street Center location. They are as follows:
