Gloucester County, Virginia, will join with other Gloucesters from across the globe to celebrate Gloucester Day on Saturday. This will be Gloucester County’s second year celebrating the international holiday.
County Administrator Carol Steele said people are encouraged to learn more about the county by visiting some of Gloucester’s historic sites such as the Rosewell Ruins, Timberneck House, Buck’s Store Museum and Gloucester Museum of History during the event.
At noon, there will be bell-ringing at various churches and organizations in the participating Gloucesters, said Steele. Here in Gloucester County, Virginia, the day’s celebration will conclude with a livestream hosted from the Gloucester Brewing Company at 8 p.m. to share a toast with people at the Gloucester Brewery in the United Kingdom.
