After last year’s cancellation due to COVID-19, the 2021 Gloucester Daffodil Show attracted 1,315 stems from 56 exhibitors, including some who came to Gloucester from four other states to participate, according to show spokesman Kristen Pritchard.
The show, held on March 27 and 28 at Newington Baptist Church, was sponsored by the American Daffodil Society and sponsored by Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
Following COVID-19 protocols, only 10 people could be in the show space at a time, Pritchard said. The photography aspect of the show was done completely online. Because of space limitations, the artistic design portion of the show was not held, she said.
Judging was held March 27 by ADS judges and an ADS student judge. Pritchard said the show in Gloucester and one in Dallas, Texas, were the only ADS sanctioned shows held this year.
