Gloucester Daffodil Club members win awards at state show

Gloucester Daffodil Club members attended the Virginia Daffodil Society Show held at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond March 22-23. 
Daffodils started blooming a little later this year, said a press release, but the turnout still included 1,347 stems, with 746 entries and 59 exhibitors in the horticulture division and 96 photos and 22 photographers in the photography division.
The Gloucester Daffodil Club received many awards, said the release, including the following American Daffodil Society Awards (ADS).
Nancy Fuchs: Best Standard Collection of Five, Best Collection of Five Stems Historic, and Best Historic 3-Stem; Carla Stanley: Purple for Best Standard Collection of Five and the Mary Lou Gripshover Award for Best Division Collection of Five; Ceci Brown: Best Collection of Five Stems Classic, Best Collection of Five Stems Historic, and Best Classic; Susan Auman: Silver for Most Blue Ribbons in Horticulture (tie) and Red-White-Blue; Anne Earman, Silver for Most Blue Ribbons ...
