A pretty but quiet wedding was solemnized on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 5:30 p.m., in Hampton, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Todd Wiatt on Venable Avenue, when Mrs. Wiatt’s sister, Miss Lucy Jones Field, daughter of Sheriff and Mrs. George B. Field, of Gloucester, became the bride of Mr. Gerard Hopkins, of Dixondale, this county. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a few relatives and friends by Rev. F.M. Rose.
The bride wore a traveling suit of brown duvetyne with hat and accessories to correspond. Her flowers were a corsage of chrysanthemums.
Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins left immediately after the ceremony on the boat for Washington and other cities. They will be at home to their friends after the early part of December at their attractive new home in Gloucester County, on North River.
