Danielle Keeton, 6, and Chase Steele, 3, of Gloucester take a spin on a carnival ride at the 41st annual Gloucester County Fair, which was held in August 2011 at Ark Park. More than 4,000 visitors attended the five days of that year’s fair and carnival, which sadly turned out to be the last year for the Gloucester County Fair. The Gloucester Fair Association officially dissolved in January 2019. “We recognize that dissolving the Gloucester Fair Association does not prohibit a fair in the future and hope that the event will return,” then-president Rachael Burnette wrote in the 2019 letter in which the fair association donated the Ark Park property to the county. “We’re very proud of the tremendous impact the Gloucester Fair Association has had on the lives of Gloucester citizens.”
