Gloucester residents got the opportunity to ask questions and make comments on the county administrator Carol Steele’s proposed 2024-2025 budget, as well as address other concerns, at a town hall event last Thursday, March 21, in the T.C. Walker Education Center Auditorium.
All board members were present except York District supervisor Phillip Bazzani.
York District resident Amanda Armstrong, who is also the Director of the Tidewater Soil and Conservation District, made a comment about county building projects and how that is affecting the deer population.
She said that the building projects going on are displacing the deer population and the farmers are having a difficult time keeping that population under control and it’s impacting their farms.
