The Gloucester Arts Festival kicks off this Friday with the annual Brews, Brine & Wine event, to be held from 5-8:30 p.m. Friday at Timberneck Farm at Machicomoco. It will be followed on Saturday by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony Under the Stars from 6–9 p.m. on the lawn at the corner of Main Street and Walter Reed Way.
At Brews, Brine & Wine, visiting Plein Air artists will interpret the beautiful surroundings on their canvases, said a press release, creating small works that will be available for sale at the event, which is co-hosted by the Fairfield Foundation and sponsored by Ionic DeZigns. Entertainment will be by the RaJazz Band, with oysters, additional foods, beer, and wine available for purchase. The event will be held rain or shine.
