County offices and buildings in Gloucester and Mathews will remain closed to the public through March 31 in response to the spread of COVID-19, according to a release issued Tuesday by Gloucester’s Community Engagement and Public Information office and comments from Mathews County Administrator Mindy Conner.
The following information is the latest as to how various county departments and constitutional offices in the two counties will continue to operate over the coming weeks.
Circuit Court
From now through April 6, all civil, traffic and criminal matters, including jury trials, are suspended, with the exception of emergency matters. For specific information, contact the applicable Circuit Court Clerk’s office, which will remain open at this time, by calling 804-693-2502 in Gloucester or 804-725-2550 in Mathews.
General District Court
