Gloria Ann Hudgins Haywood, 87, of Mathews, died on Monday, June 12, 2023.

Gloria started her working career with Ben Thompson’s State Farm Insurance, and later worked for Diggs Insurance Co. She was a member of New Point Friends Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Elwood and Beryl Presson Hudgins; husband, Frank Haywood; son, Frankie Ray Haywood; siblings, William C. Hudgins, Nancy H. Broaddus, Rita H. Revere, and Lola H. Hambleton.

Survivors include nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
