Glen Roger Dye, age 84, of Mathews, died suddenly on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Glen was born on May 22, 1940 in Tazewell County to the late William David and Myrtle Ruth Chapman Dye. Glen worked as a machinist at MicroCraft. He was also a proud U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed all things summertime, especially fishing and boating. He loved to play guitar and watch the Miami Dolphins. Glen is survived by his wife, Carrol Dye; children, Tammy Eskins, Tracie Payne (Bradley), David Dye, and Mark Dye (Kinta); six grandchildren, Jason Eskins, Jared Eskins, Jamie Dye, Seth Payne, McKinley Dye, Autumn Dye, and six great-grandchildren. Siblings, Larry Dye, Gene Dye, Evelyn Reynolds, and Kenneth Dye also survive him. Services will be held in his hometown at a later date. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory.
