Gilbert Keith Preston, known as Keith, 73, of Newport News, died on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024.

He was a former resident of Mathews County and was a member of the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Oriental Masonic Lodge #20. He was a member of Sandy Grove Hunt Club and Warwick Moose Lodge #1711, and retired from Anheuser-Busch after 40 years as a forklift operator.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Thomas Preston Jr., and his mother, Georgie Lee Hudgins Preston.

Survivors include his sons, Ben Preston and Andy Preston; his brother, Wayne Preston, and sister, Brenda Lewis.

A Celebration of Life service was held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at the Warwick Moose Lodge #1711.
