Warwick and Heritage were the latest Peninsula District wrestling squads to bow to the Gloucester High School Dukes. Gloucester prevailed, 46-20, over the Raiders and 72-12 over the Hurricanes at GHS on Jan. 18.
In scoring for the Dukes, Jordan Schall at 132 pinned his Warwick opponent in 3:27, John-Nathan Walker at 138 earned a pin in 56 seconds and Landon Smith at 182 pinned his Raider foe in 2:43. Also for Gloucester, Anthony Monahan at 106 achieved a technical fall in 5:27, and Gil Owens at 145 and Devon Pullen at 170 won by major decisions.
Gloucester’s Matt Favazzo at 113, Isaac Osorio at 120 and Ethan Newell at 152 all won by decision. The Dukes also got a forfeit at 126. The Raiders scored points with pins at 160 and 220, a technical fall at 285 and a decision at 195.
