The Gloucester High School wrestling team held its last home meet of the season on Wednesday, Jan. 15 in the GHS gymnasium. The meet was also Senior Night for Jackzel Quinones, Aiden Sheesley, Christian Hartz and J.R. Jones.The Dukes won over the Phoebus Phantoms by a score of 54-18 and the Bethel Bruins, 59-24.
Multiple athletes won their respective weight classes in the contest against Phoebus. Among those winning their weight classes were Quinones (106 lbs.), David Lewis (120 lbs.), Sheesley (126 lbs.), Micah Bodiford (138 lbs.), Corey Skay (157 lbs.), Karl Dean (165 lbs.) and Kenneth Hamilton (175 lbs.). Winning by forfeit were Connor Maples (113 lbs.), Hartz (132 lbs.) and Rylan Altrath (144 lbs.). Charlotte Kirby (150 lbs.) also competed in their respective weight class.The Dukes would then face the Bruins.
