Wrestling team posted two wins in dual meets held on Dec. 6 at Denbigh and Dec. 13 at Phoebus.
In the 48-30 win over Denbigh, the Dukes racked up eight wins on the mat. GHS wrestlers David Lewis (120 lbs.), Aiden Sheesley (126 lbs.), Christian Hartz (132 lbs.), Corey Skay (144 lbs.), Kenneth Hamilton (175 lbs.) and Makai Scatliff (215 lbs.) pinned their opponents, while Oliver Ramos (113 lbs.) and Karl Dean (150 lbs.) won by decision.
In the 45-30 win over Phoebus, Gloucester wrestlers posting wins included, by pin: Sheesley (wrestling at 126 lbs.), Lewis (wrestling at 120 lbs.), Tyson Ferrie (132 lbs.), Skay, Dean and Colby Morris (heavyweight); Ramos by major decision, and Hamilton by technical fall.
Today, Thursday, Dec. 21, the Dukes were scheduled take on Tabb and York in a tri meet at Tabb before the holidays.
