Teams from Gloucester and Mathews high schools faced off on the court on Saturday, as the varsity and JV boys’ and girls’ basketball teams battled one another in the GHS gymasium. Each of the varsity teams came away with a win. The boys’ game came down to the wire with a controversal ending that saw Mathews walk away with a 60-58 win, while the GHS girls easily defeated their Lady Devil opponents, 60-25.
