GHS volleyball starts off strong

The Gloucester High School girls’ and boys’ varsity volleyball teams have had a successful start to their seasons with both teams defeating Hampton and Denbigh at home this past week.
The Lady Dukes beat Hampton in four sets, losing only the second set. The final set scores were 25-12, 25-21, 25-17 and 25-11. The boys were even more successful, defeating the Hampton Crabbers in three straight sets. Final set scores were 25-19, 25-12 and 25-17.
In another night of success, Gloucester defeated the Denbigh Patriots Tuesday at home. The girls’ defeated their opponent in four sets, with a loss in the second set. The final set scores were 25-18, 26-24, 25-14 and 25-13. The boys also had a four-set match, defeating the Patriots with a second set loss. Final set scores were 25-21, 27-...
