The Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams wrapped up the regular season, hosting a Peninsula District Meet last Wednesday, May 8.
The meet served as the school’s senior night, with graduating seniors Jahdai Donald, Samantha Linaweaver, Mya Baker, Tyler Hicks, Evan Frazier, Jackson Taylor, Rylan Allcorn, Dakota Dunlap and Makia Scatliffe recognized.
In the 100-meter dash, Jenna Seaton placed fifth with a time of 14.30. In the 200-meter dash, Deziray Bellinger placed first in 26.68, Seaton ran a time of 29.78 and Payten Bebco ran a time of 30.91. Shyanne Carlton placed 12th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.50 and Ellary Miller placed 16th in 1:07.23. In the 800-meter run, Baker placed first with a time of 2:27.04, Kayla Turner placed fifth in 2:47.08, and Zoe Scott placed seventh, running 2:48.89.
