GHS track athletes excel at Real Deal Meet

Almost all of the Gloucester High School track and field athletes who competed in the Real Deal Meet at Todd Stadium on Saturday posted personal records or season’s best performances. 
Jasmin Scott took fourth place in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:31.72. Wendy Sparrer was third in the pole vault by clearing nine feet and Gaedon Geach was sixth in the junior varsity 400 meter dash in 1:05.12. 
Antonio Morales was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 20’1” and was eighth in the triple jump with 38’7”. Also participating in the meet were Jada Wilson, Malia Ward, Janice Dixon, Sara Eddy, John Patterson, Martaine Morris, Ben Seda and Jordan Haas. 
On April 23, Mia Robinson, Scott, Ward and Wilson traveled to Philadelphia, Pa., for the 2014 Penn Relays Carnival. The next day they stepped on the track with some of the top athletes in the United States and ran the mile relay in 4:26.73.
