GHS swimming

The Gloucester High School girls’ and boys’ varsity swim teams completed their second double dual meet last Thursday at the Hampton Aquaplex. Both teams gained another win against Warwick, but came away with the first loss of the season against Kecoughtan. Win or lose, swimmers in the Peninsula District continuously cheered on each other through the meet. Top point-earners against Kecoughtan were Auggie Baker and Renner Andersen. Tara Carter and Summer Bayly were the top point-earners against Warwick. Camden Hoercher, shown above, also gained a top team time for the boys’ 100-yard butterfly event. In only the second meet of the season, all swimmers have earned a personal best record in at least one event since time trials, which were held only one month ago.
