Hanna Heaton put on a show, scoring five times in the Dukes’ 7-1 win over Woodside High School.
The Gloucester High School varsity soccer teams took on Woodside on Tuesday night at home. Both teams came back from spring break ready, with the girls beating the Wolverines, 7-1, and the boys shutting out the visitors, 3-0.
Boys
The GHS varsity boys dominated Woodside most of the game to come away with the shutout win. Alex Hogge, Nick Lebel and Cayden Brumm put up the points for Dukes while Aaron Miller recorded one assist. Goalkeeper Jessie Manheim had nine saves in the match.
Girls
The girls held the Wolverines to only one score while they ran up the score with seven goals. Five of Gloucester’s goals were made by Hanna Heaton. Caroline Merchant scored once and the seventh point came from a Woodside own goal. Joelle Forrest, Callie Laubacker and Merchant recorded an assist each. G...
