GHS soccer takes on Monarchs, Warriors

The Gloucester High School soccer teams traveled to Menchville to face the Monarchs last Thursday. The boys’ varsity team fell to the Monarchs by a 2-1 margin.
The girls fared better, tying Menchville, 2-2. Andie Hartley and Cori Morgan scored the Lady Dukes two goals with assists from Caroline Merchant. Goalie Julie Trist recorded six saves.

The varsity teams played again on Tuesday against the Kecoughtan Warriors at home. The Lady Dukes snuffed out a comeback by the Warriors and won, 4-3. Merchant scored twice both with assists from Caitlyn Shelton. Aubree Dorsey with an assist from Brooke Holloman ...
