The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ and girls’ soccer teams both defeated Warwick Tuesday night, their first games returning from spring break.
The boys defeated the Raiders, 3-1, on their home field. Corey Skay achieved a hat trick during the game, scoring all three goals for the Dukes. His first goal was assisted by Kollin Wilson in the first half. In the second half of the game, Skay’s goals were assisted by Ryan Williams and Brody Sutton.
This brings Skay’s goal count for the season to 13. Williams and Marek Barnett were Gloucester’s top defensive players of the night. The boys are currently undefeated.
The Lady Dukes traveled to defeat Warwick, 4-0, Tuesday. Lil Wright and Rylee Amaral each had a goal and an assist. Eva Updike and Bella Harrell also scored.
Both Gloucester varsity teams will play at home tonight against King William. The Lady Dukes are scheduled to start play at 5 o’clock, with the boys to follow.
