The Gloucester Dukes varsity boys’ soccer team split a pair of games last week, winning against York High School last Thursday and losing Tuesday to Menchville High School by identical 1-0 margins.
Against York, the game was decided by a second-half score by the Dukes’ K.J. Wolford. Gloucester’s stout defense kept York off the scorecard. The Dukes however had the script flipped on them Tuesday as it was Menchville who took the lead in second half. The boys’ varsity team now sits at a 6-3-2 record for the season.
