The Gloucester High School girls’ and boys’ varsity soccer teams have opened their seasons with wins across the board.
The Lady Dukes defeated Churchland, 4-1, last Friday night at home. Emmy Baker scored two goals, followed by Alina Laubacker and Layla Santellanes with one goal each.
Tuesday night, the girls celebrated a shutout win of 8-0 against the Hampton Crabbers at home. Lily Wright scored three goals, followed by Rylee Amaral with two goals and Ava Santellanes, Jenna Sheesley and Aubrey Milawski with one goal each. In assists, Wright and Baker recorded two apiece, followed by Amaral, Santellanes, Sheesley and Mackenzie Santo Domingo with one assist each.
Boys
The boys also achieved a decisive win against Churchland Friday night with a final score of 9-0. Corey Skay led the way for the Dukes with four goals.
