The Gloucester High School indoor track teams competed in Saturday’s 757 Last Chance Meet at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. The teams had multiple season best performances, including one state qualifier.
The girls’ team had a good number of season best performances. Shyanne Carlton ran a season best of 8.88 in the 55-meter dash. In the 300-meter dash, Deziray Bellinger ran a season best of 45.55 and Shyanne Carlton ran a season best of 51.47. Avalynn Hutton ran a season best in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:28.76. Mya Baker, Hannah Broadwell and Mackenzie Alcorn all had season bests in the 1,000-meter run. Baker ran a time of 3:12.62, Broadwell ran a time of 3:50.10, and Alcorn ran a time of 3:52.64. In the 1600-meter run, Chloe Sylvester ran a season best of 6:41.17 and Hailee Jorgensen ran a season best of 6:45.38.
