In the second meet of the season, the Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams came out on top when they traveled to Newport News Park to compete against Woodside on Wednesday, March 17.
The Gloucester boys won with a score of 16 and the Woodside girls had to forfeit due to not having enough runners.Tanner Baker came in first for the GHS boys’ team with a time of 16:49. Next for Gloucester was Conner O’Beirne with a time of 16:53, followed by Alec Daniel with a time of 18:10 and Joel Junker finishing at 18:22.
Owen Hogge ran an 18:45, followed by Tyler Hicks (18:59), Josh Pinder (JV) (19:02), Leo Berry (19:14), Carter Hill (19:23), Hayden Bower (19:50), Ian Waters (20:07), Rylan Allcorn (20:08), Matt Slater (JV) (20:09), Braden Enoch (20:09), Clayton Miller (20:17), Joel Taylor (JV) 22:03, Wyatt Pruitt (22:18), Jacob Poulin (25:21) and Devin Lowney (26:06).
