GHS homecoming parade to be held Oct. 18

Next week is Homecoming Week at Gloucester High School and the 2018 homecoming parade along Main Street will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, beginning at 5:15 p.m. 
To help alleviate congestion on Main Street, school buses will take children to the parade lineup at Newington Baptist Church and pick them up at the parade’s end in the Main Street Center parking lot. 
GHS students will return to Main Street on Saturday morning to walk the parade route and clean up any mess left behind by the parade. 
A Homecoming Tailgate will be held at GHS starting at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, with food available for purchase and activities for the whole family.
The Dukes will take on the Phoebus Phantoms in the homecoming football game at 7 p.m., with the coronation of the 2018 homecoming court at halftime, along with a performance by the GHS marching band.
The homecoming dance will be held from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at GHS.
