The Gloucester High School cross country teams competed at the Peninsula District Meet #4 last Wednesday at Newport News Park. The teams placed well during the meet with the girls taking first overall with a score of 37 points with an average 5K time of 24:03 and the boys placed third with 91 points who had an average 5K time of 20:22.
In the top 10 overall for the girls’ team were Rachel Blittle who placed fifth with a time of 23:08.33, Mackenzie Alcorn placed sixth with a time of 23:10.90, Hannah Broadwell placed ninth with a time of 24:26.72 and Sarah Bullins placed 10th with a time of 24:26.86.
