GHS grads honor past and look to the future

“It’s not the things you’ve done that’s made me so proud. It’s who you are.”
Dr. Stefan Mygas, principal of Gloucester High School, relayed the triumphs of the graduating Class of 2023 at the school’s 70th annual commencement program held on Saturday morning at the school’s athletic field.
Through the COVID-19 pandemic beginning during the spring semester of the class’s freshman year, and coming back to participate in art, student organizations, service projects, internships, athletics and more, the Class of 2023 is composed of an impressive group of students, he said.
Mygas not only recognized their achievements during his remarks, but also celebrated who the students are as people.
“You care about each other and the world around you,” said Mygas.
In conclusion, Mygas urged the graduating seniors, “Please just keep being you.”
