The Gloucester High School golf team has stretched its lead to 26 strokes ahead of their closest Peninsula competitors after four matches.
The Dukes turned in a team score of 364 at the Piankatank River Golf Course on Aug. 28, well ahead of second-place Woodside with 379. Dylan Hogge shot an 83 for Gloucester, Carter West had a 93 and Tucker West and Alex Palus each shot 94.
Hogge is tied at number one with Kecoughtan’s top golfer with an average of 82. Palus and Gloucester’s Connor Long are also among the top 10 in the Peninsula field. The golfers play today at Cypress Creek and Tuesday at Deer Run.
