Andrew White, a 2024 cum laude graduate of Gloucester High School, finished third for the Newport News Apprentice School’s, Tri-Match at Sleepy Hole Golf Course in Suffolk on Sept. 9. The Apprentice School placed second as a team at the match.
White represented the GHS golf team at the 2022 state tournament. He is now enrolled at the Apprentice School, where he was recruited for the school’s golf team. White has recently been testing his welding skills and is a student in the pipefitting program.
White began his education and golfing at Ware Academy. He joined the Gloucester Dukes in the ninth grade. At GHS, he took dual enrollment classes through Rappahannock Community College where he received his first welding certifications.
