GHS girls win, 7-0; Johnson scores 100th career goal

The Gloucester varsity field hockey team took the win in the Division 5 Region B semifinals on Tuesday at Powhatan Field at Old Dominion University, beating Kecoughtan, 7-0.
Reese Miller recorded at hat trick while Channy Johnson scored twice and Kaylee Hall and Mackenzie Reece scored one goal apiece. Kam-ryn McDonough and Johnson each had two assists, while McKayla Clark, Ainslee Brown and Reece also recorded assists.
Johnson’s two goals in the game brought her total goals scored to 100 over her career as a Duke.
Gloucester will play at Powhatan Field again today in the regional final against Nansemond River.
